How does scanning work?
Answer
We have two scanners in the library.
1. is the document scanner on top of the library printer. Items are placed in the tray ink side up, and long edge going into the tray. Please make sure staples are removed and pages are as flat and intact as possible.
2. On the printers touchscreen pad, log in with your Student ID number.
3. We recommend selecting device settings then scanning to get the most options.
4. You can tell the printer about the item. Do you need it to scan front and back, in color, with different resolution settings.
5. Tell the printer where you need it to go. Your email will already be an option, or you can type in a specific email if the destination is different.
We also have the book scanner at the stand-up desk.
This is great for lab notebooks, scanning chapters, or workbooks.
1. log into the computer with your CWC credentials
2. Click on the CZUR scanner logo (black circle with the word).
a. Turn the scanner on if needed the power button on the back.
3. Once the software fully opens, click on the black circle that says scan underneath in the bottom right corner.
4. Place the item to be scanned on the black mat; on the right, you can select if you need a one-page scan, a double-page spread scanned, or to designate the area to be scanned.
5. Scan the pages needed
6. Export the file as a PDF
7. Upload your file to your Google Drive or a flash drive.
